63 Squares Crochet-along

Wooo....I've got my yarn, needle, Leisure Arts book and ready to begin crocheting this.

63squaresbook

I am using Red Heart SS 1260 Light Sage, 0631 Aran, and 0374 Country Rose colors. "Should" end up looking very similar to the pic of the afghan on the cover.

I think this is a great project that will give me not only an heirloom afghan in colors that match most of my decor, ok....ALL of my decor, but will give me small portable crochet projects that I can drag back and forth to work for lunch breaks, but 63 new stitches I'll be learning. I'm sure I'll end up with half a dozen 5mm hooks and squares in a bunch of rooms of the house so I'm constantly working on it. LOL

Let the games begin!! :)

Crochet Magazine Find

wooooooo....finally did some cleaning in the basement and found my small collection of old Crochet Fantasy mags!!!!! Even one of them from 1998 that has an interview with Lily Chin (the fastest crocheter in the west) LOL......I gotta time myself some day on dc's and see how close I can come to matching her.

Getting lots of crocheting done on the week off here,....a wimple hood thingie, a few new ponchos and other things. I took pics so will work on getting them put up here.

slow on the blog-writing :S

ok ok....I've got to get myself into some sort of routine..like actually SITTING up at the computer instead of always lying on the couch with the laptop and reading, lol

busy weekend crocheting and relaxing - didn't really bust my butt cleaning or laundry-ing but got what I needed to done. Even took pics of some of my projects, will have to get them d/l and u/l yet..time to buy myself a new desktop computer so it isn't torture with slowwwwwwness like the way it is now.

Got 3 scarves crocheted, all blocks so tons of ends to sew in. I tried to make that part a bit more enjoyable or relaxing by saving up each bit I cut off and throwing it into a "bird nest" fund. I always throw all the little bits out in the yard,....cast them to the wind, and then watch the following spring to see if I can scout out any of the yarn in little nests!! Cool huh? I saw one nest one time with one of my little yarn strings and was thrilled..

Also got a camouflage yarn neckwarmer crocheted for a 12 year old boy. His mom says he loses scarves by the dozens so figured a neckwarmer would be safe since it would be wrapped on him for the day.

These were things I had sold last week,....a few bucks rolling my way today for my stash enhancement, LOL
will post the pics soon
