Getting ready for the "w" word

I've really been crocheting up a lot of hats and scarves...the cooler weather is to blame for that, but I'm going to have some warm stuff all ready to wear at least.
I finally made myself one of Dot's Hascarves. I haven't worn it yet, but I showed it to some friends and they loved it too! I think it will be very warm and comfortable. I made it out of Homespun so it's verrrry soft, and I used a 9.00mm hook with the Homespun. Thank you Dot for sharing your pattern with us.

Against my own policy

LOL, well, it's totally against my own policy to post a pic of me, but my g/f took this pink in my pink, yes, finally I have something pink again, Spider-lacy poncho I made from the BHG Learn to Crochet mini-mag that they put out last year. I missed finding it in Winnipeg, by that bestest of all best shoppers, Kelly found it for me in Ottawa and brought it with her when she came in September. This would actually look pretty cool in black I think. I crocheted it from Bernat Chunky, so it's really soft and was inexpensive to make. I think I used about 4 skeins to make it. The 'over the head' part is kinda tight though and I can just barely get it over my brain container so if I made it again I'd make a looser, verrry loose beginning chain for it.

I've been getting my I-cord made up for the new felted "Kellybag" I made so should have that here by the weekend.

Weather here is beautifully sunny every day so it's nice being able to park my ass on a bench outside at lunchtime and soak the sunshine in while getting my yarn fix. Love it,...please stay here sun.

Is this the cutest thing or what?

I don't think I had posted this pic of a little blankie gift one of the student's at work gave me. She's the one I have my weekly Stitch'n'Bitch with. She said she knew I'd be wanting to hide under a blankie to escape the madness when classes started again. I LOVE IT...she knows I collect sheepies. Awesome eh.

oh my....Brad Pitt is in the city this week filming parts of a Jesse James movie.

About time...

Hey everyone...thanks for bearing with my busy-ness and writing block I've gotten through. I've been crocheting as always and trying to balance my time between all my "have-to"s and "want to"s, and my blogging got stuck at the end. I got so behind in reading blogs and keeping up at Crochetville too, so that feels overwhelming trying to catch up, leave comments and post. I guess we all have that though, life seems to get in the way.

I was so excited last week being gifted from my g/f in Ottawa sending me a box full of LOPI wool again. This was the stuff that wouldn't fit in her suitcase when she came in September. I worked on another Kellybag on the weekend and just have to finish the handles of that and felt it, so I'm all excited to use the tote. I will post pics of course.
And she sent me the coveted "Gestalta" artist's dummy from IKEA that I've been oogling over so I squealed with delight when I saw him.

I have pics of all the projects I've been working on in the last few weeks, and will get them all posted this week. It'll be quiet on the homefront...Brian dh is out of town for the week so I should get caught up. The doggy, Curly, sure misses him when he's gone. funny story...I was telling some of my profs I work with today how I was a virgin all week with B out of town...doh, meant to say bachelorette... LMAO

have a great week everyone!! Good to be back, and hope you've stuck around for the new thoughts and doings.
