Say hello to Eunice

er, I mean say hello to Ewenice
ewenice-web

Is she the cutest little yarn companion or what? A gift from my Stich'n'Bitch friend Sally. Thanks bitchin' Sally!! :)

I 'almost' finished knitting a little booksweater on the weekend, probably won't get a chance to finish til Thursday or next weekend. Lots and lots of my time is going to studying and homework in my Statistics class, which is finished in about a month. It's such a fast pace with constantly moving forward and not enough time stayin put, but that's the way it is in a spring course. Lots of work but it's quite gratifying for me since I'm managing to stay caught up.

I also made yet another set of little fingerless gloves:
wristwarmers-IWeave Crochet Fall2005
Made with
Bernat Cotton Tots - very berry color,
4.5mm hook
Fingerless Glovettes, pattern page 10 Interweave Crochet Fall 2005 issue
They were fast and easy fun to make.

Congratulations to Andrea for her crayon blankie in Crochet Me Magazine.

Well, I'm off for some blog reading. Hope everyone is enjoying summer!
Keep a smile on and yarn in your hands.

Jessi's back

Hey everyone, was just checking my comments on comb-over again and see Jessi's back online. Check out her blog, she does great crochet work. Welcome back Jessi!!

so I should be studying, but....

So I should be studying and doing homework tonite, but I'm being a summer Friday rebel and instead of that, reading this
knitting-rules

I was grocery shopping after work for survival supplies for the weekend and saw it at the groc store for only $12.57 which I thought was pretty good price. The Canadian sticker price is $17.95. And I found a five dollar bill on the street yesterday on my way to work. Bonus cash, wheee

I laughed my ass off at the comments left on the ewwhhhhhh....Mr. Comb-over, LOL
Thanks for leaving them.

Double rebel - I'm eating ice cream tonite too. Isn't it funny how a Friday night excitement changes over the years.

Oh ick and ewhhhh, saw this yesterday - the guy should be slapped upside the head.
Why would a comb-over

Looked like a gelding's tail flapping outside the car door on the highway.

I'm still here

I'm still here...backed up on almost everything in life it seems, haha.

Hubby planted a H.U.G.E. garden and guess who's watering it every night since it hasn't been raining? It will be so nice eating the fresh garden veggies though, but he really did plant too much. It's hard not to go all crazy when you see how many kinds of seeds are on the shelf, and plants in the nursery. I did manage to find a nice lavendar plant so I can have some lavendar to mix in with flax seed for the neck comfortwarmer bags. I think I'll make one of these bags in a foot slipon kind so when I go to bed with sore footsies I can heat up one of these bags and slip my toesies into it and drift off to sleep. Good idea, yes?

Been doing tons of studying and homework with my stats class. It's wearing me out somewhat but also a nice change of the day to day pace at work as well since summer's not so busy.

I've been doing crochet and knitting mostly on weekends. I'm so proud I figured out the cable stitch pattern in knitting!! I made the Irish Hiking handwarmers.
1st cable wristwarmer
The mistakes were less on the 2nd one. Buttttttttttt, lazy me, when I finished the second one I didn't get my first one to make sure they were the same, and when I had finished it and went in the house, I kid you not, one had 5 cables, the other had 4 cables!!!!!!!! Grrrrrr, nothing like curing the "second" syndrome by having to make another pair with 5 and 4 so now I have two pairs. What a goof. Live and learn...at least I have a gift pair made now though.
The pattern is a .pdf file here and I would highly recommend trying it. Now of course I do want to make one of the Irish Hiking scarves.

Bear with my sporadic blog posting and commenting til this Statistics course I'm taking is over, k? Hope everyone is enjoying a gorgeous summer. Winnipeg weather is beautiful so far.
